About Inventory Keeper
Inventory management shouldn't be a privilege reserved for businesses with big budgets and IT departments. Inventory Keeper exists to give independent owners the same real-time visibility into their stock that the big players take for granted — at a price that makes sense for a small business.
Where It Started
Working in a restaurant, nightly stock counts happened on paper sheets that got handed to the manager at closing time. The owners — who weren't always on-site — had no way of knowing what was actually in the back office without driving in to check, or waiting for someone to read the count sheet to them over the phone.
The problem wasn't the counting — it was the visibility. An owner sitting at home should be able to see that the walk-in is running low on a key ingredient before the next service, and make a call to place an order or run a special to move excess stock. Inventory Keeper was built to make that possible, without requiring any special hardware, expensive software licences, or a member of staff to relay information over the phone.
Many independent businesses are still running on pen and paper or jury-rigged spreadsheets — not because they don't want better tools, but because the existing solutions are priced for enterprises with dozens of locations and dedicated operations teams. Inventory Keeper is built for the owner, the stock keeper, and the manager — the people who are actually on the floor.
